I won't claim impartiality, I'm not! I have several friends in BoB and I hope to see them win this fight. Having stated that fact, this post is not about garnering propaganda for BoB. Rather, I'd like to ask a question, primarily to understand whether or not my perception of the progress of this war is even close to the reality.
From reading the battle reports, it seems as though BoB is at this point, winning this war. Intentionally overlooking the BoB ally situations (LV etc), it would seem that every major engagement with actual BoB forces, has resulted in BoB holding the field and / or, inflicting significant Cap fleet losses on the coalition.
From an outsiders view BoB is outclassing you and winning, despite being heavily outnumbered.
So the question is this? Is this merely a shining success of propaganda (Which is a valid tactic in war), or is this in fact, the cold hard reality that it seems to be? |

They're usually either fighting with D2 in Fountain OR assorted northerners in Querious OR the Drunken Redswarm & Friends in conjunction with LV. We've yet to get to the point where there is actually mass concerted effort against BoB itself, so I'd say wait a while and see if you still believe such.
And it seems that wherever BoB is not at any one point in time, their associates are either deadlocked or losing ground...
Thank you for a well thought out answer. |

There is no way that you can claim impartiality. Statements have been made on this forum that Southern Cross Alliance is on BoB side.
So, that being said..........I'm posting in a BoB thread!
Read the 1st few words of my post... |

Well, my take on it is this. Nothing to hide here and I'd like to believe I'm under no delusions.
1) Bob are damned arrogant, however, currently their performance in this war is justifying their arrogance.
2) SCA (Southern Cross Alliance) Is definitely on side with BoB on this fight. Besides having friends in various BoB corps, they have essentially allowed us a home in 0.0, we have a lot to gain by remaining on Good terms and a lot to lose otherwise (No surprise here. While we are not large enough to be a solo threat on par with many of the corps / alliance names I see posting in here, we do have a tendency to bite and can hold our own when we need to. |

Now... BoB are your landlords and looking back, the FA of that time had a clean rep or as good a rep as can be expected from a large alliance. BoB's rep has unfortunately left the building.
Actually as far as BoB's Rep is concerned in my experience they have been good friends. A quick rundown as to their relationship with SCA (what was initially just ANZA Alliance corp).
-ANZA part of Xelas alliance (Xelas was a new alliance at that stage) back in the day. PA decides that a standing set by the alliance didn't agree with their policy, and they rock up with large fleets to gang bang us. Who came to the rescue? you got it - BoB did. They then gave us space to live in, in the form of Fountain Region). -ASCN Gang bangs Tribal Souls, essentially over an event that was staged for ANZAC day (long story, don't ask ). Bob kills ASCN (not as a direct result, but it was a factor I believe) and then allows us to live in PS Rent Free (Our old home.
So as you see, in our case BoB has a history of friendship reinforced with acts. We're not "pets", we're not "tennants", and being Aussies and therefore a bunch of loyal prats , we'll fight on their behalf proudly and return the favour as much as we can.

Originally by: Kozak Why not just start a corp called "I love BoB" and name all your ships "I Love BoB". Fly around Jita and post in local "I Love BoB". Think of how many more people you can reach that don't read this forum.
P.S. You can tatoo "I Love BoB" on the back of your neck, so when you are at work and someone ask who "Bob" is, you can explain to them about MMO's and Eve-Online and the politics of Eve and let them know how much you Love BoB.
Interesting, taking advice regarding friends from someone who has none, sounds like bad advice to me. BoB has looked out for our interests, accordingly we shall look out for theirs.
For the record, this thread was not started to prove how much of a BoB Fan Boi I am. I relayed the impressions that I was getting from the forums as to the progress of this war, and asked for an assessment of how close my perception was to reality. Many people have managed to reply without idiotic flames, evidently you were predestined to be the fool.

D2 explioted a fansite for ultra metagaming cheating style.
A dev gave BOB some low lvl t2 bpos, ironically BOB didn't know about this until ccp (ccp said that). But hey everyone hates BOB because they do something besides forum ***** (they do that to). Since everyone was jealous of BOB they decided to accuse every memeber of BOB and even their allies of cheating.
RAGOON than explioted the most obvious thing (intentionally causing a node crash). If BOB had brought that many numbers their would be 100000x petitions in queue about them cheating.
D2 lost their titan because they have no freaking idea of how to use. BOB used a game mechanic, D2 didn't think BOB would use ingame mechanics, D2 only thought BOB would try to counter exploit a fansite.
D2 has smacked horribly in all the locals I have seen, their forum whoring is far below par. They whine when a post is made about a battle report with very little bias to BOB.
D2 has proclaimed themselves eve's saviour from BOB, why? BOB plans to conquror eve, so what? I have known a few BOB for a while and they are great guys, top of the notch people and great at pvp, loads of fun to. D2 only smacks and accuses ppl of cheating
To be fair I'm sure there are great people in D2 and others as well. This is a game, and while my allegiance is announced I have nothing ugly to say against the coallition forces.
May they enjoy the Pew Pew.

Duff Man, ask Sharmina to update you on this. She posted SCA as being on side of BoB + little pals in a thread not so long ago besides having been a member of BoB for a few days also not so long ago.
I'd also rather you not profess your deep love and respect for BoB on CAOD. Some people are still sore about that one. It just makes ANZAC Alliance look even worse.
Cheers,
V.

You don't think that these fights are important? Regardless of how you think LV is doing, anyone with half a brain can realize that if LV go down things will get infinitely more difficult for BoB.
Oh noes! I'm a Network Professional and just about to walk into our weekly IT meeting. Having said that I feel that a rebuttle to your insult regarding my having half a brain is no longer a requirement.
My E-Peen is seemingly in tact.

Originally by: Minigin hey duff man ^^ glad to see your back in the game. It's been a while since rightious few, but anyway... im anti-bob atm for several key reasons so i wont claim to be impartial in any way. however from what i understand d2 has done very well against bob (bar a titan which i think has been yelled about enough) and ragoon have done exeedingly well against lv. what i expect to happen is that lv will be defeated soon and then i suspect bobs time is up. they where a fiersome alliance with great leadership and for a time im sure they had us all fooled that they would rule the galaxy. but my how the tables have turned. if in the next 6 months bob has not fallen i will be surprised.
Minigin
Minigin! How's it going? We'll have to catch up
Interesting thoughts, and there are many in this thread. Kudos to all those who managed to reply without flaming, and to that guy who still somehow seems to be looking for impartiality in my thread...
